Well I think she would have done better if folks had known who this Obama was sooner. She finished hot because by then the voters knew they didn't want Barak Obama. I don't know how many blogs I've seen where voters in early states just bluntly said they want their Obama vote back.

Also, look at demographics. About 54% of all voters are women. If she had deftly played the woman card, I think she could have cut into Barak's black vote--half of that is women too! A black woman friend of mine was all for Hillary early on but got on the black bandwagon.

It is over, but please all of you Hillary women, Puh-leez vote for McCain, not Obama! Check McCain's voting record in the Senate. He is practically a Hillary clone.

How quick we are to divide the country please don't call yourself a democrat or say "A black women friend of mine" because if she was a friend it wouldn't matter what her political affiliation is, she's still is a friend and shouldn't be used as a example in your "racist" statement... "the black bandwagon" You should understand the historic even that was taken place in you life time. And if you are a true Democrat no matter who running you should support them. And as far as McCain is concern and Hillary they had their chance and it's time for "CHANGE!"

Why didn't the media use Barak Obama's middle name? They used Clinton's full name quite often.

Didn't someone once say "all hindsight is 20-20". I must admit that the theme of NBC and MSNBC
has been completly consistant. Always Anti-Hillary! iF have you have missed this networks coverage,
don' worry, you haven't missed a thing.

My question to the poster above me (Marie) is, who is Obama? Then you go on about how Hillary should have played the gender card, but is that really the best way to merit the confidence of voters? As for your comment about voting for McCain, it is just plain stupid. Any Hillary supporter who cares about the issues and policies of the candidates should by default vote for Obama because both democratic candidates have almost identical policies on the issues. These are diificult times for this country, people ought to vote on what's important for them instead of being caught in the racist/gender snares around this year's campaign. My 2 cents.

Please, get over it. She lost and she lost to a better candidate. Let's move on. And to think this is from a 40 year republican that is voting for Obama. That is if Obama picks anyone other than Hilly for a running mate.

Bravo! To you sir, I applaud you and your decision. From one Democrat for 51 years to one republican for 40 years, it's time for people to start making wise decision on there own.

Actually, this next term is not going to be an easy one no matter who gets into the White House. Further more, the fact that Obama is the winner and Clinton is fundamentally out fo the race the Democratic party is split and will probably remain that way. I don't see Hillary supporting Obama in an effective way that will unite the party and bring her voters to the Obama side. I see a lot of people in the Democratic middle swinging to a more moderate candidate in this election, voting McCain. With the downslide of Obama's recent primary elections and the negative associations that shadow Obama's persona it is hard to imagine that he will win this upcoming election. The fact that McCain is 72 years of age means that he will be a one term President and within four years Hillary could be the next President. If Obama gets in then Hillary is finished...so just on that thought I don't see her uniting the party vote to help Obama win. These dynamics will significantly hurt Obama's chances in the fall and lead to Obama's defeat.

Not necessarily, some of us that are unsure of Obama after learning about his associations would like to see a Obama/Hillary ticket. I think she is strong enough to keep him in check and would help prove his point that Obama wants unity. I have yet to see that side of him...except on the campaign trail.

And please not another four years of the same!

OK, do you go to church? If you do, you would know that your pastor has said at least one thing or another that you didn't agree with but you still went back. I don't agree with all that the bible says because it mostly about the lives of people who a have sin and those who have believed in God and Jesus Christ. And I know that you read the bible and I'm quiet sure there where stories there you disagreed with but that did stop you from believing in God and Jesus Christ. I'm a realist and I'm one who follows what I believe not what other may believe... it's call having a mind of my own. Don't fall for everything that you hear and see have a mind of you own. Didn't McCain had a controversial "Reverend" that he endorsed as a supporter to his campaign. We all have people in our lives that have said that things that we didn't agreed with but we kept them in our lives still.
Don't think that Obama is going to bring havoc to the presidency... like Bush.

you maybe right, but at sometime maybe in the past or in the future they may have said or may say something that you my disagree with. That doesn't mean that you leave the church, it's that you have a different opinion. I know in some churches they talk about what people do with their lives and some people may agree and some won't but the church goes on. The churches play a major roll in all of our lives, guiding us through our day to day life, helping us make good choices and so bad. And when you're been in a church most of your life you grow to appreciate what the church has done in you life time no matter what disagreement you may have with it. Especially when they have done so much for the community. And helping people in time of need.

I watched Obama speech tonight... there is this question about Obama's wooing white voters especially white women, it seems to me if he keeps drawing these large rallies he will attract more whites and women to his campian. Hillary will loose these voters if she keeps up this ego tripping! She will be seen as one who can't seem to help bring the party together. Obama's message will grow as well as his rallies. Tonite there where 15,000 in the arena to hear his speech and 13,000 that could not get in. If this keeps happening the word will get out and when he comes to you state you will want to go see him and once you hear him you will be hook to the message of change. And that's where Hillary will lose her supporters.

"Reading the obituary for the most anticipated candidacy in a generation." Most anticipated by whom? Personally, I was fed up with "Bubba Politics" when her husband left office. And what did he do for us? Let's see, he did make Monica Lewenski a star. After the attack on the twin towers in '93 we did lob some cruise missles at an abandoned a terrorist camp in Afghanistan. He decimated our military - watch "Blackhawk Down". Bill Clinton says he was the "reincarnation" of Jack Kennedy. Bill is so far removed from what Kennedy stood for, I can't count the ways.

As HRC said, politics is the way to power. When in power, one can destroy one's enemies. That's a wonderful way to look at the Presidential office, a means of destroying those that disagree with you. She went to NY where she knew she could win. Unfortunately, the citizens of NY tend to run on the Liberal side when it comes to politics and the did elect her, bless their little hearts. What does Hillary stand for? Whatever she thinks will get her elected - remember her vote for the war in Iraq? and now she's against it.

While I understand that most of our Presidents have not been nice people (comes with the job), I'm confident that HRC fills that part of the bill quite nicely. I see the ranting and raving from the Clinton supporters that Hillary didn't win her party's nomination. I wouldn't discount that this is another Clinton ploy to get the nomination. While I'm glad to see that the Democratic party had an Afro-American and a woman as their lead candidates, it's a shame it was these two candidates.

I realize I'll never change the minds of the Clinton supporters, and it's not my intention. We Americans should stand for what we believe in. However, keep in mind that the American people don't vote the President into office anyway (read the Constitution). Hopefully, those that do will select someone that agrees with the Constitution 100% as written, and I'm not convinced "Bubba Politics" follow the same advice.

Ok, people should know that the Clinton's are trying to build a political dynasty like the Kennedy's and when she started her campaign for the nominee, she figured this would be a easy win because she had a few things going for her. Her husband Bill who's political ties would help her, her being already a senator from New York and a the large female (black and white) vote. Then when she seen that her opponent was a black man Obama, she thought I also have the "black vote" as well because of Bill success with black voters. But she did not count on the word "Change" and eight years of "Bushnomics"and the feel of the people. And lets not forget the whole "war" issue. Obama kept to what people wanted to hear "Change." Her campaign started out with a bang she getting the big white female vote and delegates and she started to win with the "Obama's in-exsperience" to be the president and to lead the country. But when he started to win some of the "key" states that she should have won, she started to go negative with the Rev. Wright issue, the Elitism issue, and the working white issue. But "Change" is what people wanted and needed. And as far as her whole on the large working white women issue when they start to go to Obama's campaign rallies and hear the "Change" message and how he is going to make these changes, they will see that his issues are the same issues that Hillary and John Kerry had. Now that he is the Democratic Nominee of President of United State something she could not get over maybe it has something to do with him being a "Black Man" and she thought when she started out that she had this thing in the bag and to find out she didn't and she lost to a "black man" not another "white male" or another "white female" candidate she don't want to believe or succeed to him. The Clinton's political ego's are very large and they still want the golden ring. So here we are now, she's still in the headlines and the fact that no one is focusing on the"History" making event of the century that a "Black" man is now trying to bring the country closer to the "Dream" that so many Whites, Afro Americans, Latinos, Asians and all other want. I am a 51 yr old black male and I'm glad that we're getting closer to the "Dream."

With all due respect, Hillary is a politician just like Obama and she will play her cards to the absolute end of the line. The so called "Dream" is nothing but a sales pitch from another politician...in this case a socialist who is playin on the people who want more entitlements from a country that is going bankrupt! The "Dream" in this country has always been that people go out and make it on their own...the problem is we now have too many people who want the government to make it for them!!!

Ok, point well taken but the problem with Hillary is that she has not reached the end of her line as a politician her and Bill are trying to build a political dynasty so she doesn't see the end of the line and it not the end of the line for her. And as far as the "Dream" goes as a Republican there's a "Dream" for you to it the "American Dream" the same dream that everybody wants. No one wants the government to make everything easy for them they want an equal playing field. Where the rich don't step on the poor and where some one with a "Dream" can take hard work on a equal playing field and make a life for their families and pass down the real truth what hard work means and the fruits of their labor. So their sons and daughters can build their lives on. And as far as protecting the country I think we need to re-think our forien policy

wow... "she thought". Now we have people that can read minds on this page!

The truth is the press was behind Obama from the start and twisted everthing Hillary said...so she came out fighting. Which wasn't a good thing for her campaign...but she has had good ideas from the beginning which forced Obama to put his ideas on the table.

Because you feel you need to "tell people who they should vote for" is the same reason you paint everything as being either BLACK OR WHITE....The economy is in serious trouble. Who cares what WHITE America thinks...We want a President that is for "THE PEOPLE"......."ALL PEOPLE"

At McCain's age he could only fullfil one term..but of course you'd rather have that or BETTER YET KEEP TERRIBLE PRESIDENT BUSH....THAN STAND BEHIND A HUMBLE MAN OF INTERGRITY AND CHARACTER BARACK OBAMA.

                                                        A Black Man

Why is it that a Black Man can create a tiny piece called a filament (electric light - Lewis Latimer) that allows people to see in the dark?

But can't be seen fit to lead a country to the true light.

Why is it that a Black Man can create an instrument (clock - Benjamin Banneker) that all people use to tell time?
But people don't think it is time for him to run a country.

Why is it that a Black Man can design a place for the high authorities to meet in and a place for the president to live in (The Capital and the White House Phillip Reid (a slave) and Pierre L'Enfant)?

But not good enough to lead these meetings or live in himself.

Why is it that a Black Man was brilliant enough to do the first open heart surgery (Dr. Daniel Hale Williams) and show the world how to get and preserve plasma (Dr. Charles Drew)?

But not good enough to put a program in place where everyone can afford this surgery.

Why is it that a Black Man was creative enough to design an instrument (traffic light - Garrett Morgan) to bring multiple people (traffic) to a halt?

But not seen creative enough to design a plan to bring all this unnecessary and worthless fighting between countries.

Why is it that a Black Man could create the soles (shoes - Jan Matzeliger) that people walk on every day?

But not seen good enough to fill the shoes of a horrible president.

Why is it that a Black Man was smart enough and brave enough to teach himself (Fredrick Douglas and Thomas Fuller - both slaves) and others how to read, write and/or calculate math?

But not seen smart enough and bold enough to calculate a platform to be President to a country that sure needs another first by us.

So you see my Brothers and Sisters what I am saying is let us not forgot our past, which led us to our present and can definitely be the backbone to our future. We were good enough, smart enough, creative enough, and bold enough then, so let us all give Obama the chance to show that we are still these things and more. We all are as strong as our weakest link, so do not be that weak link that denies our people that chance to show we still can OVERCOME!

BARACK OBAMA----OUR NEXT PRESIDENT OF THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA !

LET US ALL CONTINUE PRAYING THAT THIS PRESIDENT WILL ADHERE TO AND BE LED BY GOD.
